High Tide is an alternative rock trio hailing from Sharon, MA. Childhood friends Matty Dowd (guitar, vocals), Ryan Kaplan (bass, vocals), and Josh Rapp (drums) began playing music together freshman year of high school, and have been a band ever since. Influenced by Dispatch, State Radio, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime, and other alt rock bands, High Tide has been writing original songs since their formation in 2006. They won back-to-back Battle of the Bands' at their high school in 2009 and 2010. They have also competed on the national stage in School Jam USA, a teen band competition in which they were voted in to the top ten bands in the country and flew out to Anaheim to compete at the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) convention in January of 2010. They completed their first full length album, "One Small Step for Man", this past May. It is available above, and is absolutely free. To contact High Tide, e-mail them at hightide1234@yahoo.com.
